Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced CDL Instructor to join our team. The CDL Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction to students seeking Commercial Driver's Licenses (CDLs). This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping aspiring drivers develop the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in trucking or transportation.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct classroom instruction covering topics such as traffic laws, safety regulations, vehicle operation, and basic maintenance.
2. Provide hands-on training and demonstration in pre-trip inspections, vehicle maneuvering, and defensive driving techniques.
3. Supervise and evaluate students' progress during behind-the-wheel training sessions, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
4. Develop and implement lesson plans, training materials, and assessments to support effective learning outcomes.
5. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing commercial driver training programs.
6. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance evaluations, and training documentation.
7. Collaborate with other instructors and staff to continuously improve training curriculum and delivery methods.
8. Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.

Qualifications:
- Valid CDL with passenger endorsements 
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a professional CDL driver.
- Previous experience as a CDL instructor or trainer is preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively teach and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
- Patient, supportive, and adaptable teaching style with a commitment to student success.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in transportation or education is a plus.


Pay:
$25 - $35 an hour
